ABOUT THIS HARBOUR TOUR

COAL HARBOUR E-TOUR

Learn how Coal Harbour overcame its surprising industrial past as a former shipyard and became one of the most beautiful waterfront neighbourhoods in Vancouver. Nestled between glass skyscrapers and soaring mountains, the coastal fjord of Burrard Inlet will guide you through the harbour and along the shoreline of Stanley Park. Your captain will take you on a fully-narrated journey through Vancouver's rich history, architecture, and landmarks. Our ultra quiet, electric boats means that you'll never miss a word— and who knows, you may see some wildlife along the way!

TOUR HIGHLIGHTS

Each of our tours shine a spotlight on the region's most iconic landmarks, neighbourhoods, and culture — all with live narration from our expert captains.

  • Burrard Inlet
Long before the arrival of the first European Settlers, Burrard Inlet was home to the Indigenous peoples of the Musqueam, Sḵwxwú7mesh and Tsleil-waututh. Since then, the inlet has become Vancouver's primary port.
  • Stanley Park
Stanley Park is home to one of the largest urban great blue heron colonies in North America, and the birds have been documented nesting in various locations in Stanley Park as far back as 1921.
  • 9 O'Clock Gun
Originally fired to warn fisherman of the close of fishing, the 9 O'Clock Gun is a cannon that is still fired nightly. It's been hit by lightning, briefly stolen, and it's had an active Twitter account since 2012.
  • Deadman's Island & HMCS Discovery
Named for it's bloody history as a battle ground and cemetery, Deadman's Island is now best known as a Royal Canadian Navy Reserve division.
  • Vancouver Rowing Club
Established in 1886, the Vancouver Rowing Club is one of the city’s oldest athletic clubs with over 130 years of history! The club also supports rugby, field hockey and of course, yachting.
